Alumni Awards

Each year Charlotte Christian School awards alumni who have distinguished themselves through exceptional service to the school and the greater community. Awards given include the Alumni Service Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are invited to submit nominations for these awards this summer. The award recipients will be selected by a committee in early fall and recognized for their accomplishments during the annual CCS Homecoming football game.

If you have any questions about our alumni awards, please reach out to Alumni Relations Coordinator, at Gabi.Everett@charchrist.com.

2025 Alumni Award Recipients

Alumni Service Award

The Alumni Service Award honors an alum who has consistently provided exemplary volunteer service to Charlotte Christian School, going above and beyond in devotion to the school. The award is given on an annual basis to an alum whose actions demonstrate outstanding personal service and commitment to the school in promoting either the mission of CCS and/or the CCS Alumni Association.

2025 Alumni Service Award Recipient - Reid Fronk ('04)

In 1996, Reid Fronk became a Charlotte Christian Knight as a 5th grader and graduated with the class of 2004. As a high school student, Reid was an active and valuable three-sport athlete, earning all-state honors in baseball and helping lead the Knights to three baseball state titles. Reid went on to play baseball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the Tampa Bay Rays, winning the 2008 Rays Minor League Player of the Year.

Reid joined the Charlotte Christian staff in 2016 and has served the CCS community in a variety of ways, including launching the CCS Alumni Association. Seeing a need to bring the Forever Knight community together, Reid led the first alumni board in 2016 creating an infrastructure to champion Christ-like relationships between CCS and its alums. His passion for building relationships, connecting people, and walking alongside students both on and off the field has led to increased alumni engagement and growing Legacy Family enrollment. Still serving in a pivotal development role, Reid is currently Director of Major Gifts and Head Baseball Coach.

Reid is grateful for the opportunity to have an impact on young men and women and continue the legacy that started with him as a student. Reid and his wife Lindsey have two daughters attending Charlotte Christian and one son.

Distinguished Alumni Award

The Distinguished Alumni Award is presented to an alum who has made outstanding contributions to God’s Kingdom through their field of work, demonstrated a heart for Christ as a servant leader in their community, and shown exceptional dedication to Charlotte Christian School.

2025 Distinguished Alumni Award - Ike Reeder ('93)

Ike Reeder graduated from Charlotte Christian in 1993 and is currently the president of Birmingham Theological Seminary.  After becoming a Knight in the second grade, he remained active throughout his student career, serving on the student advisory and Christian service councils, participating in chess club, excelling in golf and football - helping the Knights win their FIRST state championship , as well as leading on the soccer field as captain his junior and senior years.

Ike’s career has been driven by a deep belief in equipping men and women to make a profound and lasting impact on the kingdom, leading him to classrooms across the south, non-profits, and more recently the Alabama Department of Corrections through the BTS Prison Initiative.

This life-changing program champions education by teaching and training inmates how to faithfully and effectively serve the Lord while incarcerated. By recruiting dedicated faculty who are theologically sound and committed to education as discipleship, this initiative is transforming prison culture from the inside out. To date, the BTS prison initiative has graduated nearly 50 men who are serving as disciplers, evangelists, counselors, and faithful proclaimers of God’s word.

Prior to his current position, Ike worked in development and non-profit spaces for Covenant College and Young Business Leaders.  Deeply committed to literacy, Ike spent a decade in the classroom teaching English in public and private schools, and has worked in numerous literacy initiatives in Alaska, Tennessee, and Alabama providing foundational skills for individuals leading to strengthened communities.

Ike currently lives in Birmingham, Alabama with his wife Angie and two step children.
