Socks, Snacks & Shakespeare

Please join us on Wednesday, April 24 for Socks, Snacks & Shakespeare. The complimentary event takes place in the Huge Gallery and the Harmon Black Box Theatre. There will be snacks (6PM) and two showings (5PM and 7PM) of an original one-act play (Unshackling Shakespeare's Women) performed by ACT 1. The play incorporates scenes from Shakespeare's plays (Hamlet, Macbeth, and Othello). We ask that you bring a pair of socks that ITS will donate to the Urban Ministry Center.

Act 1 Auditions:

Are you positive, dedicated and hardworking? Do you have an interest in performing and competing with students in NC and throughout the US? Ms. Blount would love for you to audition for ACT 1 for the 2019-20 school year. There is a mandatory parent meeting on Thursday, April 11 from 3:30-4 and auditions are on Thursday, April 25 from 3:15-5. To receive additional information and/or an audition packet please email Ms. Blount at angela.blount@charchrist.com

International Thespian Society

In order to be inducted into the International Thespian Society (ITS) for this year, you need to provide your point sheet and $30 (cash or check) to Ms. Blount by April 15. If you have earned enough points to be designated as an honor thespian, there is an additional $22 fee. April 15 is a hard deadline. Please email Ms. Blount (prior to April 15) if you have questions.

International J-Term Trip Available:

Are you interested in traveling during J-Term next year? The Paris trip is still open and accepting signups through today. Please see Mrs. Morgan or Mrs. Goley for more information.

Knights Knews:

Just a reminder - Applications for next years Knights Knews team are due today. If you haven't gotten an application, but would still like to audition - there's still time! Please email Mr. Fair for details.

Dance Team:

If you are interested in trying out for the 2019-2020 Varsity Dance please see Mrs. Emery or email her because she is trying to work on dates for tryouts, and camp this summer.

Prom:

Prom will be held in The Speedway Club at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on April 26 from 7:30 – 11 p.m. Ticket sales run through April 12. The tickets are $95 per person and will be sold online only this year. Please see the Focus for the link to purchase the tickets. Students may complete a pre-approved absence form for their B3/B4 classes if they need an early dismissal to prepare for the prom.
