Six teams representing Charlotte Christian School competed in the North Carolina VRC State Championship on Saturday, March 10th, at Jay M Robinson High school in Concord, NC.
Three of the six teams earned a spot in the 2018 VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, KY. The middle school grade 7 and 8 team will be competing int he VEX VRC Middle School Division World Championship April 25 - 28. Two lower school teams will be competing in the VEX IQ Elementary Division World Championship April 29 - May 1.
The middle school team achieved the design award for their hard work in the state competition. Technology Facilitator Kaylah Holland says, "The design award is the second highest award offered to any team." The award recognizes teamwork, design and function of the robot, as well as judges' interviews.
Our middle school team is one of two teams from North Carolina competing in the World Championship.
Our two lower school teams won several awards each, including Design, Robot Skills, Teamwork, and STEM Research.
