CFO Terry Efird Named Charlotte Business Journal's 2017 Non-Profit CFO of the Year

Congratulations to Charlotte Christian School's Chief Financial Officer Terry Efird on being named the 2017 Charlotte Business Journal's 2017 Non-Profit CFO of Year. Mr. Efird was one of 13 area chief financial officers who were finalists for the award that was presented at the Charlotte Business Journal's 9th Annual CFO of the Year Awards dinner on July 13 at the Hilton Charlotte City Center.
"Our school community is thrilled that Mr. Terry Efird has been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as CFO of the Year," shared Mr. Barry Giller, head of school. "Mr. Efird has been an integral member of the Charlotte Christian leadership team since 2003. He has been steadfast and selfless as he has been a faithful steward of the school's resources. Presently the school is as healthy as it has ever been in regards to any financial metrics and much of that is due to Mr. Efird's leadership."
Mr. Efird has had an exemplary 40-year career in business and finance in Charlotte. For the past 14 years, Mr. Efird has diligently and skillfully led the school to its current strong financial position, including a significant reduction in long-term debt, a substantial increase in net assets, implementation of superior campus-wide accounting practices, and the oversight of six new building and campus renovation projects.
