To encourage second grade students to keep reading over Christmas break, Lower School Principal Sharon Humphrey issued a familiar challenge. For each hour a student read over break, they would receive a piece of duct tape they could to use to tape their principal to the wall. For the seventh year in a row, the students accepted the challenge and racked up 411 hours. That's 24,660 minutes of reading!

Ms. Humphrey was elated to hold up her end of the bargain as each class took turns placing their strips of tape. Once they were finished, Braeden Harp was chosen to pull the stool out from underneath and she hung on the wall supported by duct tape only. Everyone was all smiles as cheers erupted from the second graders. Congratulations second grade readers!
