The Charlotte Christian Knights middle school cookoff team recently cooked up some big fun in the Flik Independent School Dining "CTK Competition," a junior culinary challenge between four local schools in Charlotte. Middle school teams from Charlotte Christian, Charlotte Latin, Trinity Episcopal School, and Providence Day all competed in the culinary battle on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Charlotte Latin School's Founder's Hall.
The battle heated up quickly in this Cutthroat Challenge style cookoff hosted by Food Network celebrity chef Jet Tila. Each team, led by their own Flik chef, was given a surprise main ingredient and then received multiple "sabotages" throughout the evening to test their creativity in the kitchen.
Donations were accepted at the event and approximately $600 was given to the Patriot Military Family Foundation, the winning team's favorite local charity.
The Charlotte Christian Knights team included the following middle school students and was led by Chef Christopher Zion, Charlotte Christian's Flik Dining Chef.
