The award-winning theatre program at Charlotte Christian School has a rich tradition of excellence on the stage, including North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) state titles. Middle and upper school students have won individual and group honors at theatre competitions including Christians in Theatre Arts (CITA), Shakespeare recitation competitions, the Southeastern Theatre Conference, and the Wells Fargo Blumey Awards (Best Show for Oklahoma! in 2013).

At Charlotte Christian, theatre students develop an extensive knowledge of theatre history, acting, directing, playwriting, improvisation, technical directing, and stage management in a hands-on learning environment that allows them an outlet to glorify God while preparing them to impact the culture for Christ both on and off stage.

Our most advanced student actors compete to be part of the ACT 1 and ACT 2 drama teams in the upper and middle school respectively.  These award-winning audition only teams prepare works that are a beautiful blend of theatrical ministry and competitive performance pieces that are performed on campus, in the community, and at various regional competitions and festivals throughout the year.

Each year we are proud to present a mainstage playbill that includes two or three mainstage musicals, providing co-curricular opportunities for students in grades 4-12 to take center stage and bring stories to life through song and dance. The season also includes a night of one act plays performed by our competitive drama teams.
