Friends of the Arts

The generous support from Friends of the Arts enriches our student fine arts experience by bringing guest artists and performers to campus, sending our students into the community to experience the arts first hand in professional studios and performance halls, and elevating the educational fine arts experience to include elements of a professional art experience. Additionally, Friends of the Arts afford our fine arts faculty opportunities to grow by funding professional development endeavors specific to the arts. 

Past projects and initiatives made possible by Friends of the Arts include lighting and special effects for mainstage productions in the Center for Worship and Performing Arts, building an instrument inventory to support our growing band and orchestra programs, the commission of an original composition for our band students, bringing guest artists into our fine arts classrooms, sponsoring field trips to art galleries and off campus performances, procuring a set of iPads complete with arts specific apps for use in fine arts classrooms, updating student furniture in lower school fine arts classrooms, and placing high quality scanners in our visual art classrooms.
