James and the Giant Peach, Jr.

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is an adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a hit with the whole family. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way. With songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the award winning duo behind The Greatest Showman and Dear Evan Hansen, this show is destined to be a hit for the entire family.

Into the Woods

One of Sondheim's most popular works, Into the Woods is an epic fairytale about wishes, family and the consequences of choices we make. This modern twist on the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales told through song and dance follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel that have been tied together with an original story involving a baker and his wife. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and pursue their wish.
This show is appropriate for students in grade 6 and above. Families with younger children are advised that the first act IS suitable for younger audiences if treated as a one act play in which younger audience members leave after intermission.
