Fine Arts

EXPLORING GOD GIVEN GIFTS

The fine arts program at Charlotte Christian School is an integral part of student life that provides a pathway for all students to engage in the arts in a meaningful way. With over forty electives and extensive co-curricular programming, students have ample opportunity to identify their God-given artistic gifts and explore digital arts, music, theatre, and visual art. Valuing both the creative process and the finished product, our fine arts students develop practical skills that can be used to share their unique point of view and impact the culture for Christ through excellence in the arts.

Award Winning Fine Arts

Applause for the arts

The award-winning fine arts program at Charlotte Christian School has a rich tradition of excellence in local and regional competitions. Each year middle and upper school students are recognized with individual and group honors at theatre competitions including Christians in Theatre Arts (CITA), the North Carolina Theatre Conference (NCTC) play festival, and the Wells Fargo Blumey Awards (Best Show for Oklahoma! in 2013). Student musicians in middle and upper school regularly earn placement in North Carolina regional and state honors band, chorus, and orchestra ensembles and receive Excellent and Superior ratings at local music festivals.  Likewise, visual artists across all three divisions are routinely recognized in art festivals and competitions such as Festival in the Park, the Patriotic Art Competition, and the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
