Extended Day & After School Clubs
Charlotte Christian School extended day programs and after school clubs in both the lower and middle schools provide organized activities and supervised free time to enrich the intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical development of students. Classroom space, computers, and outdoor play facilities are available to children for homework, play, and various other extracurricular activities.
The Charlotte Christian School extended day program provides care beyond the regular school day for students in JK-grade 5. Through organized activities and supervised free time, the Extended Day program is designed to enrich the intellectual, spiritual, social, and physical development of students. Classroom space, computers, and outdoor play facilities are available to children for homework, play, and various other extracurricular activities. Special field trips on teacher work days and early dismissal days also contribute to making the Extended Day program a valuable opportunity for our students and their families. Contact Karen Chambers with any questions.
A wide variety of enrichment clubs take place each day outside of school hours for lower school students. Art, coding, flag football, karate, lacrosse, LEGO education, praise team, running, soccer, and STEM, are just a few of the clubs lower school students can choose to participate in after school. Clubs are offered during both semesters. Click here to read more.
In an effort to increase after-school accountability and safety for our middle school students, we have created a Middle School Extended Day option for families during regular school days. Our expectation for students remaining on campus after the academic day (later than 3:15 p.m.), is to be in one of the following three places: a supervised activity (sport or club), working with a teacher or enrolled in Extended Day. In Extended Day, our students will be in a supervised space where they can complete homework and engage with friends. Contact the middle school office with any questions.
The middle school offers several in-day club options for all students. Clubs are sponsored by faculty and students have the opportunity to explore new offerings each semester. Clubs are a vibrant and vital part of our school culture and ethos. It is well documented that play and pro-social opportunities are an important part of the development of the middle school student, and offering our clubs during the day on selected Wednesdays gives both students and teachers an opportunity for fun, relationship building, and a way to explore and further develop passions.
