Back-to-School Forms for all Students
The 2022-23 Back-to-School Form and updated health forms are required for all students each year by Friday, July 29 and must be completed to receive access to the class placement lists and class schedules. Log into myCCS and click on the yellow bar at the top of the screen that says, "You have: Form(s) to Review." If you need assistance accessing the form, please email webmaster@charchrist.com.
- The Back-to-School Form and all related health documents are required for your child to participate in any field trip or overnight trip.
- If your child will be taking prescription medications during the school day or if you would like the nurses to administer over-the-counter medications to your child, a Medication Authorization Form is required.
- If your student is new or is entering kindergarten, grade 7 or grade 12, state law requires that you submit current immunization records with your Back-to-School Form.
- If your child has other medical conditions, you may need to upload an action plan that your doctor has signed.

Lower School Class Assignments
Parents may access their child’s class assignment for the 2022-23 school year online after Aug. 3 via myCCS. The Back-to-School Form must be completed to receive access to the class placement lists.
Morning Arrival
Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten: Teachers will have their rooms open and ready for students by 7:15 a.m. each morning. Students should not arrive prior to 7:15 a.m. The tardy bell rings at 8 a.m.
Grades 1-5: Teachers will have their rooms open and ready for students by 7:15 a.m. Children should not arrive prior to 7:15 a.m. Classes begin at 7:45 a.m. Students arriving after 7:45 a.m. will be counted tardy and should report directly to the lower school office to receive a tardy slip to their classroom. Parents will be alerted if a tardiness problem develops.
Absences
Junior Kindergarten/Kindergarten: If your child will be absent from school, please notify the classroom teacher and the EEB office by emailing lynda.collins@charchrist.com or calling (704) 366-5657, ext. 8007 before 9 a.m.
Grades 1-5: If your child will be absent from school, please notify the classroom teacher and the lower school office by emailing reid.davisball@charchrist.com or calling (704) 366-5657, ext. 2001 before 9 a.m.
Parents who need to take students out of school during the day for any reason must come to the EEB or lower school office to sign them out and must also sign them back in upon return to school. Students may not leave or return to campus without following this procedure.
Extended Day for Grades JK-5
The Charlotte Christian School Extended Day Program provides care beyond the regular school day for students in JK-grade 5. Through organized activities and supervised free time, the Extended Day program is designed to enrich the intellectual, spiritual, social and physical development of students. Classroom space and outdoor play facilities are available to children for homework, play and various other extracurricular activities. Special field trips on teacher work days and early dismissal days also contribute to making the Extended Day program a valuable opportunity for our students and their families.

- Math placement is determined by the student’s ISEE scores, current grade in math, teacher recommendation and a math placement test. Please email ann.culberson@charchrist.com if your rising sixth graders needs to register for a math placement test.

The Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) at Charlotte Christian School serves to advance the mission of the school by encouraging faculty, staff and administrators in their efforts to impact each student spiritually, intellectually and physically. The N.E.W. (Newcomers Embraced & Welcomed) Family Connections committee pairs new CCS families with current families who host grade level summer gatherings that give new students the opportunity to meet some of their peers before classes begin. The hosts are available to answer questions and provide helpful information about Charlotte Christian. New families will hear from their CCS host family in late May.
