Congratulations to the following students who have been accepted into the Tomás Luis de Victoria chapter of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (National Spanish Honor Society): Kendall Cameron, Mary Elizabeth Cash, Connor Clavin, Kayla Donnalley, Evan Ector, Amelia Fritsche, Alex Kellogg, Sean Lindsay, Catherine McCreary, Molly Nielsen, Amaris Norwood, Megan Perelli, Emily Seaborn, Bailey Thompson, Griffin Wilson and Mackenzie Wilson.
Their formal induction ceremony and dinner were held at Miró Spanish Grille at Stonecrest on Thursday, May 3. The ceremony was led by Chapter President Ellie McAdams and assisted by officers Molly McAdams, Laura Hogan and Conner Hartis, as well as the chapter sponsor, Sra. Moreau. Invitations to apply for membership were offered to students in grades 10-12 in Spanish III or higher who were recommended for their positive attitude toward learning Spanish. Candidates also had to achieve a 93% average in standard Spanish courses or an 89% average in honors Spanish courses for the past three consecutive semesters, commit to the study of Spanish beyond level three, and have a minimum 3.5 GPA in all courses to be eligible.
