National Junior Honor Society

Membership in the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is available for seventh and eighth grade students that meet qualifications based on four core values: scholarship, service, leadership and character. Students who desire to be members of NJHS must demonstrate each of these four values in a Christ-honoring and Bible-centered manner both on and off campus. 

National Honor Society

Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) is available for eleventh grade students that meet qualifications based on four core values: scholarship, service, leadership and character. Students who desire to be members of NHS must demonstrate each of these four values in a Christ-honoring and Bible-centered manner both on and off campus. 

Scholarships
Students must demonstrate scholarship by earning a cumulative middle school GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Students must demonstrate scholarship by earning either a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 or weighted GPA of 4.0 or higher at the conclusion of five upper school semesters.

Service
Students must have met the requirements of the Knights’ Service program for previous middle school years in order to be eligible for membership in NJHS and for both ninth and tenth grade in order to be eligible for membership in the NHS. Students selected for membership demonstrate a commitment to serving others in their school, church and community. The students should be willing to sacrifice in order to offer assistance, work well with others and be willing to take on difficult or inconspicuous responsibilities. Service must be demonstrated at school and also the outside community.

Leadership
Students must have leadership experience in school, church or community.  A student leader is one who takes initiative in promoting school activities, exemplifies positive attitudes, is thoroughly dependable in any responsibility accepted and exercises a positive influence on peers in upholding the ideals of our school.  For NHS, a student leader has successfully held school offices and/or positions of responsibility.

Character
A person of character demonstrates the following qualities: respect, responsibility, kindness, self-control, trustworthiness, concern for others, honesty and reliability.  In addition, a person of character has a teachable spirit and a genuine interest to learn and grow.  Students of character comply with school regulations on a consistent basis and demonstrate a commitment to school standards, rules and expectations.

National French Honor Society & National Spanish Honor Society

The purpose of National French Honor Society (NFHS) and the National Spanish Honor Society (NSHS) is to promote: the mastery of the French or Spanish language; better understanding of the cultures of French-speaking or Spanish-speaking peoples; fellowship; and service.

Membership in both the NFHS and the NSHS is available for tenth, eleventh or twelfth grade students in French III or higher or Spanish III or higher who were recommended for their positive attitude toward learning French or Spanish, as well as their consistent, demonstrated efforts toward mastering it. Candidates also have to achieve a 93% average in regular French or Spanish courses or an 89% average in honors French or Spanish courses for the past three consecutive semesters, commit to study of French or Spanish beyond level three, have a minimum 3.5 GPA in all courses to be eligible and complete at least 10 hours of Knights Service directly related to French or Spanish.
