Congratulations to the RoboKnights upper school robotics team on finishing in first place as part of an alliance in the NC VEX Northern Qualifier Tournament held Saturday, Dec. 3.

The team continuously improved their robot during the day, and the highlight came when their “bot” blocked an opposing team from throwing a cube over the fence in the final seconds of a semifinal match. That block was the deciding factor in that three-point match win. This first place finish automatically qualifies the team for the VEX Robotics State Championship Tournament on March 11.  The next competition takes place at JM Robinson High School on Jan. 21.
