Middle and Upper School Application Process and Dates (Grades 6-12)
All applicants must submit an application with a $90 non-refundable application fee. Additional components include:
- Charlotte Christian School, in conjunction with CAIS (Charlotte Area Independent Schools), uses the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination) as one of the components of our academic assessments. The ISEE exam requires a pre-registration. While it is given at Charlotte area schools on several dates during the admission season, it is also administered at several other schools state-wide, nationally and internationally.
- Student day-long campus visit -- shadow a current student for a day in a variety of classes.
- Applicant and parent personal interview with the principal of the division (middle or upper school).
- Teacher recommendations (math, language arts, and principal/guidance counselor).
- Current transcript
All materials and campus visits must be completed by March 1, 2011 for priority consideration. Decision letters will be mailed on April 1, 2011. Priority applications follow CAIS school guidelines. Applications can be submitted for consideration at later dates where class availability permits.

MS and US Application Process – for priority consideration
- Submit application for each child with a $90 non-refundable fee before January 15, 2011.
- Student must complete the applicant questionnaire.
- Send English, math, and principal/guidance counselor recommendation forms to current school. Send signed transcript release form to current school to request official records be mailed to Charlotte Christian School by March 1, 2011.
- Schedule testing:
Register for the ISEE at www.iseetest.org or with ISEE (1-800-989-3721).
- Once an application is received and testing arrangements made, a student classroom visit and family interview will be scheduled by the admissions office. (Visits occur November through March).
- File materials (application and applicant questionnaire, fee, teacher recommendation form, results of ISEE testing) should be completed and returned by March 1, 2011.
- Decision letters will be mailed on April 1, 2011.
