For more than five decades, Charlotte Christian has differentiated itself in our community as a Christ-centered, college preparatory school committed to excellence in academics, athletics and fine arts. Today, Charlotte Christian seeks to enrich the lives of students so they will carry on this legacy by becoming the next generation of Christian community leaders.
In order to realize this vision, the Board of Trustees began in 2004 to evaluate and understand the capital needs of the campus. The initiative that grew from these discussions became known as the Lighting The Way campaign. Advancing the Lower School
Phase 2 of Lighting The Way takes the lower school facility to the next level of excellence. When complete, the flow of the building will allow continuity for the lower school faculty and bring all of our lower school program under one roof. These improvements will support our efforts as a Christ-centered, college preparatory institution for generations to come. Here are a few ways this new $3.25 million addition will benefit students and faculty alike:
- Expand current facility by 12 classrooms by replacing cottages and allowing room for growth
- Minimize the challenges related to inclement weather
- Enhance resource and information sharing between faculty
- Provide designated space for computers, music and foreign language to better meet curriculum needs
This campaign offers all members of the Charlotte Christian family an opportunity to express our shared gratitude and commitment to a school that continues to touch and enrich our lives and, more importantly, the lives of our children, our grandchildren and our extended community.
