The mission of Media Center is:
- to support the mission, vision and guiding principles of Charlotte Christian School.
- to foster critical thinking by supporting faculty and students as they assess information and contemplate ideas from a wide array of sources.
- to promote the evaluation of information and ideas from the perspective of a Christian world and life view.
- to encourage the synthesis, creation and communication of thought brought about by the reflection of ideas so that faculty and students build upon personal knowledge and use it to impact the culture for Christ.
This mission is accomplished by:
- acquiring, organizing and disseminating quality information in varied formats to accommodate diverse learning needs of the school community.
- providing an inviting learning environment.
- partnering with faculty to teach students to effectively identify, retrieve, evaluate, synthesize, create, and communicate information.
- collaborating with faculty as they extend and enrich the curriculum.
- providing resources and developing activities that contribute to lifelong learning and reading.
The library hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The library closes at noon on early dismissal days.
